It’s been a week since my break started. I’ve seen my grades and I’ve slept a great deal. Two more weeks to go.
The days are filled with waking up at ten or eleven, having brunch, downloading new episodes, surfing the internet, sleeping in the afternoon, taking a bath, having dinner, playing card games with my mom, praying the rosary, drinking with my brothers, reading a novel, and finally sleeping at eleven or twelve. I spend half the day asleep, the other half barely leaving the second floor of our house. Wifi really changed a lot of things, and so did text messaging; there’s basically no need to go out of the room to do anything. Every day, I follow the cycle. It’s not half bad, I guess.
At least it’s relaxing. I’ll be done with the book tonight. Two or three more to go. I’m actually glad I have all this time to do nothing. It’s refreshing.
It’s almost time to turn the laptops over. My cousin’s birthday party just ended; after the clean up, we’ll all march over to the master’s bedroom, laptop in one hand, rosary in the other. It’s just a little after ten. Plenty of time to finish the last hundred pages or so of my book.
Two more weeks.
